"Junk Food" Same With Addictive Drugs

Who does not tempted by the delights of burgers, chips, or sausage. The types of foods that are known as junk food is very familiar with the modern lifestyle. Few people did not even make the junk food, as obligatory meal every day.

For most people, eating junk food, it brings its own pleasure and not infrequently addictive effect. As a result, junk food becomes part of daily life resulting in the accumulation of fat and calories that trigger obesity problem.

Although junk food has long been suspected to have addictive properties, this research continues to grow. The experts in the UK has recently succeeded in proving that the nature of addictive junk food can be like medicine.

Dr Paul Kenny, a British neurologist who worked in Florida's Scripps Research Institute, through new research reveals how dangerous eating junk food on a regular basis for health. Fat foods and high sugar can make you lose control.

"You lose control. This is a sign of addiction," he said.

The experts believe, Kenny initiated research is the first to indicate that the brain gives the same reaction to junk food as medicine.

"This research provides evidence that indicates that the full obesity and drug addiction has a biological foundation of nerve-the same," said Paul Johnson, co-worker Kenny.

In laboratory research, Dr. Kenny uses mice as experimental objects. Rats were divided into three groups. The first group was given only healthy foods in moderation, both groups are given junk food in limited amounts, whereas the last group were given junk food as much as cheesecake, fat meat products, snack cakes and chocolate sponge.

From the looks of research, the behavior of the two first groups of mice showed no difference. But the rats ate the most junk food gluttony became very fat body and seemed to be addicted.

We conducted an electronic stimulation in the rat brain that feels pleasure, the study found that rats that received junk food, as many require more stimulation to reach the level achieved pleasure rats receiving healthy food.
