Almost all smokers know that cigarettes are hazardous to health, but why do they still continue to smoke, same as killing themselves.
It turned out that the smokers had tried to quit smoking but they always fail because it only lasted a few months and finally returned smoking with a full pleasure.
To quit smoking not only has the desire or intention are the most important is the action / attempt to stop and it must be consistent in running. Let's discuss what steps that must be done before & after quitting smoking.
First you must have a desire to stop smoking. This way by realizing that smoking not only damage your health but people around you, including people who you love. Become aware of how selfish you are when smoking.
Second, try to browse the smoking habits of you who has been done so far as:
- When do you often smoke,
- What do you desire to smoke,
- Where are you smoking.
Third, make the list of reason why should you stop smoking, as:
- Avoidance of cancer, heart failure, indigestion,
- Adding a severe disease that you suffer now,
- Protect your family from diseases caused by smoking,
- Provide an example to your children not to smoke,
- Conserve the expenditure for cigarettes.
Fourth, determine the day, date, hour & seconds when you will stop smoking. Do it immediately and inform the people around you if you've quit smoking, ask for their help to support you. Discard all cigarette & your smoking equipment, do not be stored.
Fifth, the most difficult stage is you must be consistent in your mission to quit smoking, that is:
- Avoid places where non-smoking, like bars, smoking areas,
- Always say I've quit smoking if you are offered cigarettes by your friend,
- Say to yourself, I should quit smoking, if the desire to smoke comes,
- Make exercise a routine,
- Do a routine exercise.
Sixth, in an attempt to stop smoking, eat the low-calorie foods and drinking water as much as possible.
